Talking about time should be a pleasure, not a chore

Picture
Our time in the world is precious. Our inherited date-keeping systems make our lives harder than they have to be. Trying to recall important memories, schedule events and talk about time should be like playing on a playground, not like gasping through an obstacle course.

A calendar that's simple, easy and beautiful

The most widely-used official calendar, the Gregorian Calendar, has been around for over 400 years. It's time for an update. Your life deserves a better calendar.

A new approach

Calendar reform isn't new. People have proposed "World Calendars" to unite the globe, and perpetual calendars to reduce wasteful printing and improve economic forecasting. The Symmetrical Calendar instead solves the usability problem that all traditional systems have.

A bold redesign

About 10 years ago, a professor in Toronto wanted to solve one problem with the Gregorian calendar: it started on a different day each month. When Dr. Irv Bromberg developed a new leap year schedule to solve this problem, he made it's arithmetic openly free for use (no copyright), royalty-free, open-source and public domain. He developed two calendars called "Symmetry 454" and "Symmetry 010".

Rethinking dates

The Symmetrical Calendar is just Symmetry 454 with a new way to name dates without numbers.

How does it work?
